DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- are witnessing loss in share price indices at the opening hours on Tuesday (August 9), the third trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 8.90 points or 0.19 percent to stand at 4560.21 points at 12:09pm.
Trade deals stood at 46,182 with transaction at over Tk 1851.66 million. Of the issues traded, 124 advanced, 101 declined and 83 remained unchanged till then.
Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 111.46 million having changed hands so far.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 10.95 points to stand at 8551.76 points at 12:08pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 75 gained, 60 declined and 29 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 88.12 million.
