DHAKA: Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- have witnessed loss in share price indices on Tuesday (August 9), the third trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 1.43 points or 0.03 percent to stand at 4567.68 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 110,625 with transaction at over Tk 4540.43 million. Of the issues traded, 134 advanced, 132 declined and 59 remained unchanged.
The Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 254.42 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., MJL Bangladesh Limited, BSRM Steels Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Mithun Knitting, Industrial Prom. & Dev. Co. of BD Ltd., Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd. and ACME Laboratories Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 1.18 points to stand at 8561.54 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 97 gained, 96 declined and 44 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 260.99 million.
