DHAKA: The two share markets of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- are witnessing loss in share price indices at the opening hours on Tuesday (August 16), the third trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 0.92 points or 0.02 percent to stand at 4576.16 points at 11:59am.
Trade deals stood at 40,560 with transaction at over Tk 1487.41 million. Of the issues traded, 131 advanced, 130 declined and 43 remained unchanged till then.
Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 84.72 million having changed hands so far.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 4.52 points to stand at 8560.20 points at 11:56am.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 66 gained, 70 declined and 34 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 69.65 million.
