DHAKA: A 4-day Safe Home Expo is taking place at Bhirkuti Mandap in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu.
Jointly organized by Uturn (Bangladesh), Savor International Limited (Bangladesh) and Synthesis (Nepal), the exhibition, second of its kind, will continue till August 18.
It will remain open for all from 10:00am to 7:00pm (local time) everyday.
Bangladesh ambassador to Nepal Mashfee Binte Shams inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest. Raj Kumar Basnet, chairperson, Shamadevi Building Materials and Engineer Md. Badrul Hassan, Director, BBS Cables attended the ceremony as special guests.
At the inaugural session, the attending guests observed the National Mourning Day of Bangladesh with due solemnity following the request of Bangladesh ambassador.
Distinct organizations from Bangladesh and Nepal are participating with there products and solutions.
US Bangla Airlines is the airlines partner of this exhibition.
However, Safe Home 2016 is a platform to enhance the trade exchange and bilateral relationship of the two neighboring nations more dynamically.
According to the organizers, after the devastating earthquake in Nepal, its government and the authorities concerned are working to introduce safe and sustainable construction materials for post-disaster recovery.
These kinds of exhibitions are playing significant role in the reconstruction paradigm of Nepal, they added.
