DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (August 16).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 9.17 points or 0.20 percent to stand at 4586.25 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 109,331 with transaction over Tk 4254.78 million. Of the issues traded, 147 advanced, 128 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
The Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 132.27 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited, Apex Tannery, National Polymer, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Beximco Pharma, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., ACI Formulations Limited, The Ibn Sina and Envoy Textiles Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 24.21 points to stand at 8588.94 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 108 gained, 107 declined and 26 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 211.05 million.
