DHAKA: The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed loss of share price indices while Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw gain on Monday (August 29), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), lost over 0.51 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 4534.04 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 107,640 with transaction at over Tk 4105.55 million. Of the issues traded, 148 advanced, 125 declined and 49 remained unchanged.
MJL Bangladesh Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 185.78 million having changed hands till the time.
Other toppers of the market were National Tubes Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Far Chemical Industries Limited, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., Al-Haj Textile Mills Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Olympic Industries Ltd., Apex Foods Limited and Mithun Knitting and Dyeing Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), however, witnessed inflation, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 2.59 points to stand at 8475.92 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 121 gained, 100 declined and 37 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 197.12million.
