DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Monday (September 5), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 6.25 points or 0.13 percent to stand at 4563.69 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 97,243 with transaction at over Tk 4252.78 million. Of the issues traded, 125 advanced, 147 declined and 49 remained unchanged.
The Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 271.54 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Singer Bangladesh Limited, Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Olympic Industries Ltd., MJL Bangladesh Limited, National Tubes Limited and The ACME Laboratories Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 22.56 points to stand at 8535.35 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 106 gained, 103 declined and 34 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 284.70 million.
