DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices at the opening hours on Wednesday (September 7), the fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 20.65 points or 0.45 percent to stand at 4589.01 points at 12:26pm.
Trade deals stood at 49,149 with transaction at over Tk 2215.99 million. Of the issues traded, 160 advanced, 81 declined and 62 remained unchanged.
The Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 183.10 million having changed hands till then.
Meanwhile, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 31.08 points to stand at 8580.16 points at 12:22pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 98 gained, 45 declined and 33 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 116.85 million.
