DHAKA: The government has fixed the rate of rawhide at Tk 50 per square foot during Eid-al-Azha.

The decision came from a meeting among the commerce minister Tofail Ahmed and leather traders at secretariat in city on Thursday (September 8).

Last year, the hide price was set at Tk 50-55 for the capital and Tk 40-45 for outside Dhaka. Hide price of goat was ranging between Tk 22-25 per square foot across the country.
