DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on Monday (September 19).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 2.19 points or 0.04 percent to stand at 4626.17 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 113,622 with transaction at Tk 5402.64 million. Of the issues traded, 121 advanced, 138 declined and 64 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 327.03 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., MJL Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited, KDS Accessories Limited, Linde Bangladesh Limited, LankaBangla Finance Ltd. and National Housing Fin. and Inv. Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8657.09 by gaining over 4.67 points.
Of the issues traded, 98 advanced, 110 declined and 29 remained unchanged. The total trade deal stood at Tk 302.57.
