DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Wednesday (September 21), fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 21.01 points or 0.45 percent to stand at 4660.14 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 130,434 with transaction at over Tk 6141.23 million. Of the issues traded, 172 advanced, 91 declined and 59 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 326.14 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market include: Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Singer Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited, National Tubes Limited, GPH Ispat Ltd., Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., BRAC Bank Ltd. and KDS Accessories Limited.
Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 22.76 points to stand at 8710.98 points on Wednesday.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 121 gained, 89 declined and 43 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 323.66 million.
