DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain in share prices indices on Thursday (September 22), the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, gained over 5.20 points or 0.11 percent to stand at 4665.35 points at the end of days trading.
Trade deals stood at 129,627 with transaction at over Tk 5552.14 million. Of the issues traded, 129 advanced, 147 declined while 47 remained unchanged.
Yeakin Polymer Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 287.47 million having changed hands till then.
The other toppers are United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd., LankaBangla Finance Ltd., Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., Singer Bangladesh Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., National Tubes Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited and RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited.
The CSE also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 16.37 points to stand at 8727.35.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 123 advanced, 103 declined while 29 remained unchanged.
The total value of exchange was over Tk 410.34 million.
