DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed loss in share price indices on Sunday (September 25), the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 6.87 points or 0.14 percent to stand at 4673.43 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 123,629 with transaction at over Tk 5765.49 million. Of the issues traded, 117 advanced, 165 declined and 42 remained unchanged.
Yeakin Polymer Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 233.33 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were MJL Bangladesh Limited, United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd., GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh) Limited, LankaBangla Finance Ltd., National Housing Fin. and Inv. Ltd., National Bank Ltd., The ACME Laboratories Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Bangladesh Shipping Corporation.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 39.06 points to stand at 8725.75 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 99 gained, 124 declined and 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 545.53 million.
