DHAKA: Bashundhara Multi Food Products Limited, a concern of country’s largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, has formally started its journey in implementing the project of edible oil refinery unit.
Bashundhara Group vice-chairman Safwan Sobhan inaugurated the ‘Kick of Ceremony’ of the project at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarters-2 in city on Tuesday (September 27).
Bashundhara Group advisor Major General (Retd) Mahbub Haider Khan said they are heading to setup a factory with the capacity of refining 2,000-MT (Palm and Soya Bean) oil daily to market international standard products following the demand of the consumers.
Lipico Technologies of Singapore will provide technological assistance to implement the project at Bashundhara Industrial Park at Pangaon in South Keraniganj, on the outskirts of Dhaka.
Lipico Technologies representative Fakhrul Alam said that Bashundhara will annually invest a huge amount of money in edible oil market in the country.
Bashundhara Group senior DMD Mohammad Belayet Hossain, DMD Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman and Bashundhara Group cement sector DMD Engineer AKM Mahbub-Uz-Zaman were, among others, present at the event.
