Comilla: Police in south upazila of Comilla recovered the body of a housewife, who was brutally slaughtered, on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Amena Begum, 40, wife of Lalu Miah.

On locals’ information at about 11:00 pm, police recovered her slaughtered body thrown on Bagmara-Syedpur road.

The body was sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

A police official said, “Investigation into the incident was started. Family feuds might be the reason behind the killing.”

Locals saw clashes between Amena and her two daughters-in-law frequently, he added.
