The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) announced today that while weather conditions are expected to remain mainly dry across the country, there is a possibility of light rain or drizzle in one or two locations within the Rangpur division over the next 24 hours starting this morning.
The forecast indicates: "Weather may remain mainly dry with a temporarily partly cloudy sky over the country, with chances of light rain or drizzle in one or two places over Rangpur division," beginning at 9:00 AM today.
A ridge of the sub-continental high extends to West Bengal and surrounding areas, while a seasonal low is situated over the South Bay, extending its trough to the North Bay.
Light to moderate fog is likely to form in some areas from midnight to morning.
Nighttime temperatures are expected to remain mostly unchanged, while daytime temperatures may see a slight drop in the Rangpur division but remain steady in other regions.
On Sunday, the country’s highest temperature of 30.0°C was recorded in Rangamati, while the lowest temperature of 11.6°C was recorded in Jashore today.
In Dhaka, the sun will set today at 5:23 PM and rise tomorrow at 6:43 AM.
