Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin said today (Jan 11) that it remains to be seen whether the Awami League (AL) will retain its registration and participate in the upcoming national election. 

He made the remark while addressing journalists at a views exchange program in Sylhet, discussing voter list updates and election preparations.

Regarding political party registration, the CEC said that decisions would be made after the reformation committee submits its report. 

He also said that local government elections, being complex, would be difficult to conduct before the national election.
