A fire broke out on a BRTC double-decker bus in Dhaka's Kuril Bishwa road area on Friday (Nov 8).

Two units from the fire service have responded to the incident.

The fire was reported to the fire service around 1:40 pm, according to duty officer Rashed Bin Khaled from Kurmitola Fire Station, who confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said, “Around 1:40 pm, we received information about a fire on a BRTC double-decker bus at Kuril Bishwa road. Following the information, two units from Kurmitola Fire Station were dispatched to the incident scene.”

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and there are no casualties reported yet. 

The bus was parked on the roadside near a garbage depot under the Kuril Bishwaroad flyover when the fire started.
