A fire broke out at a foam factory in the Sagarika area of Chattogram city on Wednesday (Nov 13) afternoon.
Upon receiving information, five units of the Fire Service rushed to the scene and began efforts to bring the fire under control.
The incident occurred around 4:00 PM.
When the report was being filed at 6 pm, Fire Service personnel were still working to control the blaze.
Abdul Aziz, a firefighter from the Agrabad Fire Service control room, said, “At 4:25 PM, we received reports of the fire at the foam factory. Five fire units were immediately deployed to the site, and we have managed to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage will be determined after an investigation.”
This fire follows another incident on Tuesday night, when a food hotel and two small shops at the Karnaphuli Complex in Chattogram's Gate No. 2 area were burned down in a separate fire.
