The first phase of Biswa Ijtema will begin on January 31 at the banks of the Turag River in Tongi, Gazipur.
The development has been confirmed by the event's media coordinators, Habibullah Raihan and Abu Sayem, on Sunday (Nov 17).
As like previous years, the first phase of the Biswa Ijtema will start with the sermon on January 31. The first phase will conclude on February 2 with the Akheri Munajat (final prayer).
This phase will be organized by the followers of Maulana Mohammad Zubair of the Tabligh Jamaat (Shurai Nizam).
The second phase of the Biswa Ijtema will begin on February 7, led by Maulana Saad’s followers from the Tabligh Jamaat.
The event will officially conclude with the Akhiri Munajat on February 9.
After the first phase, the organizing committee will hand over the Ijtema grounds to the field preparation committee, led by the Dhaka Divisional Commissioner, by 3:00 pm on February 4.
Later, the second phase organizers will take over the grounds from the committee that afternoon. After the second phase concludes, the field will be handed back to the committee on February 11 at noon.
The coordinators also confirmed that Maulana Saad will attend the second phase of the Ijtema, as assured by the government.
