The mother of Ahmed Jewel, Head of News at online news portal Banglanews24.com, has passed away on Monday (Nov 18). 

She was 63.

Rahima Bibi breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital around 11 am.

She was the wife of Ijar Uddin of Boldahar village in Chaumuhoni, Dupchanchia upazila of Bogura.

According to family members, she fell ill suddenly on Sunday and was admitted to Dupchanchia Upazila Health Complex. Later in the evening, she was shifted to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, where she passed away.

She is survived by one son and two daughters.

Her son-in-law Md Moslem Uddin said her namaz-e-janaza and burial will be held after Maghrib prayers.

Banglanews Editor Jewel Mazhar expressed profound shock and sorrow at her death. He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
