A moderate earthquake jolted several parts of Bangladesh, including Dhaka and the northeast region of Sylhet, this morning.
The earthquake, with a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale, occurred at 10:32am, with its epicenter located in neighboring Myanmar, around 482 kilometers northeast of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's seismic center in Dhaka.
The tremor lasted only a few seconds, causing many people to flee their homes and businesses and rush to the streets.
Fortunately, no damages or casualties have been reported.
