KURIGRAM: Just-appointed Director-General of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Mokhlesur Rahman expressed his satisfaction over the new responsibility as chief of the crime-busting elite force.
“I’m happy for the posting. I will try my level best to lead the elite force so that it can work effectively in improving law-and-order situation and combating terrorism,” said Mokhlesur Rahman while talking to reporters Monday at the office of Police Super here.
Mokhlesur Rahman was on a visit to the northern-most district as part of routine inspection as the DIG of Rajshahi Range when the news traveled in fast as a pleasant surprise.
He received the news of his position while he was on the way, Rahman told the reporters.
He joined the police department in 1986.
Hailed from Sadar upazila in Comilla, Rahman, throughout his career, worked for DMP, CMP and SSF.
He also worked for RAB for a year and for NSI for two years as director.
He joined as DIG of Police in Rajshahi Range in 2007.
