DHAKA: Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hasan Mahmud Khandaker said he would work hard to complete the ‘good’ tasks initiated by the outgoing IGP Nur Mohammad.
“I must respect his responsible role...I will try my best to complete all the good deeds initiated by him,” Hasan told banglanews24.com.bd.
When contacted Monday night, Hasan said he was happy with the government’s decision of appointing him the top position in the police department. “I would like to emphasise more on the important task of the IG.”
He requested for good wishes and cooperation from the countrymen so that he can perform his duty diligently.
The government Monday appointed Hasan as the IGP.
Hasan said ongoing works of the department will continue.
The outgoing IGP Nur Mohammad appreciated the government decision and wished his successor.
