Hotel Sonargaon hosts iftar party for orphans

DHAKA: Pan-Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka, Thursday organized an iftar and dinner party for the orphans and underprivileged children in its Grand Ballroom.

Around five hundred children from different orphanages and child homes joined the party at the five-star hotel.

The orphanages and institutions include Amber Shah Madrasa, Ahsania Mahila Mission, Sir Salimullah Orphanage, Dormitory Orphanage, Ashiq Foundation, Azizia Madrasa and Yaetmkhana, Mohanpur Shahi Madrasa and Yaetmkhana, Tikkapara Hafezia Madrasa, AL-Haj Mofijul Islam Madrasa, and Haji Abdul Mia Hafezia Madrasa.

The hotel has organized such iftar party for the orphans for last fourteen years, as part of its ‘Community Care Programme’.

Secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Shafiqul Alam Mehedi, Managing Director of Hotel International Brig General Kamal Khan NDC, PSC (retd) and General Manager of the hotel Eldridge J. Mac Ewan were among others present at the programme.
