DHAKA: Biman Bangladesh Airlines workers will stage demonstrations Monday for a pay hike.

The workers of the national flag carrier, under the banner of Sammilito Sangram Parishad, also demands immediate removal of salary discrimination between permanent and contractual staff members.

“We’ll demonstrate at Balaka Bhaban (the office of the Airlines) Monday,” said Mushfiqur Rahman, a senior leader of the Parishad.

If the government does not increase their salary immediately, they will announce a fresh agitation programme from the demonstration.
