Vested property act to be amended on consensus: Suranjit

DHAKA: Suranjit Sengupta, chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Law, justice and parliamentary affairs ministry, said the vested property act would be amended with a consensus stand of all.  

He came up with the comment at a roundtable meeting jointly organized by the Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD), Sammilita Samajik Andolon and Vested (Enemy) Property Law Protest Movement Wednesday with  Justice Golam Rabbani in the chair.  

Chairman of the parliamentary watchdog body on Post and Telecommunications Ministry Hasanul Haque Enu, chairman the parliamentary standing committee on Land Ministry AFM Mojammel Haque and Gano Forum General Secretary Pangkag Bhattacharya were present as special guests.

Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oikya Parishad general secretary Rana Dasgupta and women’s leader Khushi Kabir also addressed the meet.
