Eid observed early in CtgÔÇÖs 30 villages

CHITTAGONG: Muslim festival Eid-ul-Fitr was observed Friday at 30 villages under seven upazilas in South Chittagong a day early, to keep in with the Saudi Arabians.

Hundreds of people from more than 2000 families, including followers of Satkania’s Silsilia Aleya Jahagir Pir Darbar Sharif, celebrated the holy occasion following Eid celebrations in Saudi Arabia the same day, a day before the Bangladeshis do it.

The villages where Eid commenced Friday are Mirzarkhil, Choroti,Suipur, Ghasiadanga, Kalarpole, Hidegaon, Molpara, Bahuli, Kanchan Nagar, Gachhbaria, Harala,Bainjuri, Kanaimadari, Dhemsha, Toilerdip, Burumchora, Barkhain, sarkerhat, Gohira, barshat, Charandip, Khorondip, Purba Gomdopti, Pashchim Kadurkhil, Kalipur, Chambol, Sheikherkhil, Puinachhara, Domra, Dharmapur and Kalaujan.

The biggest Eid congregation was held at the Darbar Sharif of Mirzarkhil Jahagir Pir at Satkania in South Chittagong. More than 3,000 people took part in the Eid jamaat.
