DHAKA: The trouble-ridden Biman Bangladesh Airlines has made major changes to its administration, and the shakeup will be seen Monday, when government offices will open after the eid vacation.
"The decisions were taken before Eid while the officials given transfers and postings will take charge Monday," a competent source in the Biman company toldd Banglanews.
According to the source, Md. Shanewaz, acting director of customer service, is promoted to director (marketing). Nafis Imtiaz, director of customer service, went on LPR Thursday.
Mosaddek Ahmed, director of the planning division, has been posted as director of customer service. Captain Kamal Sayeed, former director of flight operations, has been made director of the planning division.
Khaza Jonayed, acting directpr of the marketing department, was transferred to cargo division as its general manager.
Shahnewaz has performed his duty as acting director of the marketing department for eleven months.
