DHAKA: The government is going to buy new vehicles for use by the deputy commissioners of all the 64 districts at a cost of Tk 26 crore, official sources said.
Sources in the Establishment Ministry said the vehicles would be bought for use in VIP protocol in the districts alongside use by the deputy commissioners.
The price of each vehicle has been estimated Tk 42 lakh, and the vehicles would be made at home by Progati Industries Ltd, said one source.
Besides, six vehicles would be bought for use by the six divisional commissioners and four vehicles for the offices of the divisional commissioner.
“The vehicles for the divisional commissioners would be bought if the money is sanctioned by the finance ministry,” the source told banglanews.
