DHAKA: A beggar-maid who used to go begging her bread in the capital’s Farmgate area was found dead under a foot over-bridge there on Tuesday morning.

Tejgaon police found the body under the over-bridge near Tejgaon Women’s College at about 6 am.

“She might have been killed in a road accident as we noticed the body bearing head injuries.” Tejgaon Thana Officer-in-Charge Mahbubur Rahman told banglanews24.com.bd.

The OC quoted local people as saying that the woman used to be found begging on the spot and the footpath was her home to sleep in at night.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue. A general diary was registered.
