DHAKA: All four rail-stations in the capital, including Kamalapur, have been brought under touch security bulwarks following intelligence tip-off about possible terror strike.
Members of Dhaka metropolitan police, railway security force, railway police and RAB went on a massive search of the passengers coming in and going out of the stations.
“Each of the coaches of the standing trains at Kamalapur main station was also checked,” says a firsthand account of the search operation.
Railway police Inspector Ali Hossain told banglanews that Tejgaon, Banani, Cantonment and Airport stations are also cordoned off by police and RAB.
Railways’ commercial manage Habibur Rahman confirmed the information and said, “Following an alert from an intelligence agency the measures have been taken.”
