Dhaka: The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations were published Saturday with much higher pass percentage than last year’s.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the result books to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at noon at her office.
Education ministry sources said 79.98 percent candidates passed SSC and its equivalent examinations under the 10 educational boards of the country. The success rate is 9 percent higher than that of last year.
While receiving the results, the PM congratulated the students who made good results.
“There is no alternative to education for building Bangabandhu’s dreamland Sonar Bangla as Digital Bangladesh,” she said on the merry occasion, as euphoric celebrations resounded through the campus of triumphant schools.
