Dhaka: Just as the last whistle blew in the Brazil-North Korea World Cup match in the early hours of Wednesday, Brazil’s Bangladesh soccer fans burst out into jubilation in late-night bacchanals in different areas of the capital city waking up the sleeping sections of citizens.

Brazil, one of the top favourites of the FIFA World Cup forever, went barren in the first-half of the play, leaving their admirers in suspense. Eventually, the South Americans disappointed the enthusiastic North Korea with a 2-1 defeat by banking on their aggressive last-half play.

Spurred by the triumph, at around 2 am, the Brazil-lovers came out in the streets. They organized rallies with cheering and passionate slogans in praise of their adored team. Supporters, enjoying the game on jumbo screens in different areas around the city, also joined in the revelry.

The match was screened on big screens like all other matches of the World Cup 2010 at Uttara sector #1 and 3, Rajlakkhi, Amir complex, Airport rail station area, Dhanmondi Rabindra Sarobor, Abahani ground, Gandaria Dhupkhola ground and some other important spots of the city. Hundreds of commoners enjoyed the Brazil-DPRK soccer clash in all those spots last night.

There were no reports of any untoward situation during the partying by excited Brazil fans, banglanews24.com.bd correspondents informed.
