DHAKA: Amid criticism in her own party Awami League, Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni is going to fly again to America on September 30 to join Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA)-2013.

Banglanews special correspondent from New York said that Atlanta Awami League staged protest alleging that Jamaat-Shibir-Hefajat jointly leading FOBANA in Atlanta.

Local Awami League unit organized a press conference and requested Dipu Moni not to join FOBANA council. They also issued warning that the minister may face protest if she joins it.

Besides, in the same month, she is scheduled to attend two more meetings in USA and Costa Rica where no minister will attend as those are secretary level meetings. Moreover those meetings should be attended by Cultural Affairs and Environment Ministers.

This is not for the first time, Dipu Moni earlier flew many times to abroad and attended many meetings and conferences where other ministers or secretaries should had attended.
