ACC brings Tk 7.46cr back

DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) brought back Tk 7.46 crore, which was siphoned off to Singapore by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s younger son Arafat Rahman CoCo.

Attorney general Mahbube Alam handed over the dummy cheque at a programme organized by ACC in a city hotel on Tuesday.

On March 17, 2009, ACC sued CoCo and Ismail Hossain Saimon, son of former BNP minister late Akbar Hossain, for siphoning off more than Tk 20 crore to Singapore.
