COMILLA: Rail communications on three routes connecting mainly Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet were halted after a compartment of a container train derailed in Comilla Thursday moring.

Witnesses said four wheels of a compartment of a Chittagong-bound veered off the tracks in Comilla Sadar area at around 11:10 am.

A Dhaka-bound train, Mohanagar Provati, was stranded on its way at Comilla Railway Station.

Comilla Railaway Station Master Abul Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
