COMILLA: The rail communications between Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet have been restored on Thursday afternoon after a three-hour halt a four and a half hours halt.
Earlier, the communication came to a halt after four wheels of a compartment of a Chittagong-bound container train veered off the tracks in Comilla Sadar area at around 11:10 am.
Later, the rail service resumed around 2:30pm after salvage train coming from Laksam cleared the rail line.
Comilla railway assistant engineer Irfanul Islam confirmed the matter over mobile phone.
