Joy terms it ‘shame for nation’

DHAKA: Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said that the incidents of money laundering by Tarique Rahman and Arafat Rahman Koko are shame for nation.

He came up with the observation in his facebool status update on Thursday night.

The post reads as below--

“The BNP has claimed that the return of Arafat Rahman Koko`s money was just a stage managed drama. It was not the Government of Bangladesh that returned the money. It was a foreign Government, the Government of Singapore. The US FBI testified against Koko. The FBI has also testified against Koko`s brother Tarek in another case. This is shameful for us as a nation. How does it look when foreign Governments file cases against the former Prime Minister`s family?

Is this truly the future leadership of the BNP? Does the BNP not have any good people who can lead their party? We have already seen the fate of country under the influence of this leadership during the BNP`s last term. The country cannot afford to have another five years of Hawa Bhaban.”
