Kamal Majumdar acquitted of corruption charge

DHAKA: Awami League lawmaker Kamal Ahmed Majumdar was acquitted of a corruption charge brought by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).

Dhaka Special Court Judge Fazila Begum passed the order on Tuesday.

On September 24, 2007, Anti Corruption Commission Deputy Director Morshed Alam filed a corruption case against Kamal Ahmed on charge of amassing wealth illegally and hiding the information.

Court acquitted him of the charge he had not been found guilty in this connection.
