BAGERHAT: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, on Wednesday said she can sacrifice her life for the welfare of the people of the country.

“If it is necessary, I will sacrifice my life for my countrymen as my father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman did so,” she said.

The premier came up with the assertion while addressing a mass rally at Khan Zahan Ali Degree College Ground in the afternoon.

She claimed: “We have successfully generated 10,000-MW electricity which will help us to build a Golden Bangla.”

Hasiana told her audience: “We do not believe in empty words. We are working for the development of the mass people while the opposition leader is busy with killing people through her illegal hartals across the country.”

“She (Khaleda) is mastermind of killing of common people of the county during hartal and she has to face trial once for her misdeed,” she said.

Hasina also alleged Khaleda Zia wants Hasina free Bangladesh and she likes to kill people as she is a master of killing.

She also sought vote for Awami League in the next general elections so that development works can be continued.

Sheikh Hasina also told her audience that the incumbent government developed many sectors, including education and mobile technologies.

The AL chief alleged that BNP-Jamaat alliance killed innocent people during hartal.

She mentioned various developmental works in the district and said that her government will do more developments in the area in future if people voted them to power again.

Sheikh Hasina told her audience: “I want to fulfill my father’s dream by developing the country. Awami League government has given priority to country’s education sector and become success.”

The prime minister claimed that during the regime of BNP government, the country was in a dark situation and they did not develop the country.
