DHAKA: Activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir brought out a brisk procession in capital’s Fulbaria and Rampura areas and blasted cocktails on Thursday morning.
Witnesses said that 30/35 Jamaat-Shibir men took out the procession in Fulbaria area at around 8:45am.
On information, police rushed to the spot and chased them to disperse the procession.
Being chased by police, they hurled three cocktails at law enforcers and vandalized two vehicles.
Bangshal Thana Officer-in-Charge Abdul Kuddus Fakir confirmed the matter to banglanews.
On the other hand, Shibir men brought out another procession led by Metropolitan Jamaat assistant secretary Manjurul Islam Bhuiyan in Rampura Bridge area.
Later, police rushed to the spot and held three suspected Shibir men.
