Khaleda meets President Tuesday

DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will meet President M Abdul Hamid on Tuesday to request him to take steps for formation of non-party government to oversee the next polls.

The Leader of the Opposition will meet the President at 6:30pm on the day as per the schedule given by the President’s office.

On Monday afternoon, Khaleda Zia has sought the appointment of President M Abdul Hamid.

BNP Vice Chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury confirmed the matter the banglanews.

He also said the Leader of the Opposition expressed worried at the formation of a polls-time cabinet.

Meanwhile, six ministers and two state ministers took oath as part of the process to form a much-talked-about polls-time cabinet.

BNP sources said Khaleda will apprise the President about their stance and deep concern over the evolving political situation following the formation of the polls-time cabinet.
