DHAKA: BNP led 18-party opposition alliance has taken preparations to enforce nonstop hartal or blockade from next Monday to press home their one-point demand.
Policymakers of the alliance took the decision and the root level party men were asked to ready for making the agitation programmes a success, said party sources.
Earlier, they had planned to enforce hartal from Sunday but the agitation would be enforced from Monday due to some organizational activities and programmes, said sources.
As any positive step of President Abdul Hamid was not seen to form non-party government to oversee the next general elections, the alliance is mulling to declare the non-stop shutdown or blockade.
The announcement may come next one or two days, the sources added.
