DHAKA: When incumbent government is forming poll-time interim government, opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance is mulling to paralyze the country enforcing non-stop blockade instead of hartal.
A reliable source in the opposition alliance said that they would enforce blockade from Tuesday, if Election Commission declared schedule of 10th national election on Monday.
Some opposition leaders opined for enforcing blockade from Monday, even on holidays. They thought that blockade was much effective than hartal.
In the meantime, opposition alliance is integrating organization power as they are ready to take the next programme as ‘all-out game’.
Some leaders of 18-party alliance said that senior leaders of the alliance will finalize the programme in a meeting within two days.
The ongoing political stalemate gripped in the country after the two main political parties failed to reach a consensus over forming poll-time government for holding credible and participatory polls.
In the latest development, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Thursday formed a 29-member polls-time cabinet.
The premier also talked to BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in person and urged him to sit for a dialogue between the Awami League and BNP to end the political crisis.
