KHULNA: At least ten people, including city corporation Mayor Moniruzzaman Moni, were injured in a triangular clash among Awami League, BNP and law enforcers near Power House area at the city on Tuesday, the first day of 18-party called 48-hour blockade.

Witnesses said the clash triggered around 11:00am, BNP leaders and activists took their position near Power House area to block the transportation and police attempted to disperse them.

Later, Awami League activists also thronged there to foil BNP’s blockade possessions that turned BNP-police clash to a triangular one, leaving 10 people including city mayor injured.

Of the injured, Chhatra Dal leader Hira was rushed to hospital with critical injuries.
