Cops-Shibir clash in capital

DHAKA: Activists of Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, blasted 13 cocktails and locked into clashes with law enforcers in separate places of the city on Sunday morning, the second day of 72-hour blockade called by 18-party alliance.
 
In Khilgaon, Shibir men brought out a procession at around 7:50am in Shipaibagh area and blasted five cocktails aiming law enforcers. In reply, police fired rubber bullets to disperse the blockaders.

 In Khilkhet, Shibir men from a procession set fire on roads by pouring petrol at around 8:00am and hurled eight cocktails at police.

They fled the scene after police fired several rounds of rubber bullets.  

Police recovered a fresh cocktail and four bottles of petrol from the spot.
