MYMENSINGH: At least 20 leaders-activists, six by bullet, were injured including Bhaluka upazila BNP president Fakhruddin Bachu in a clash with law enforcers in the upazila on Sunday, the second day of 72-hour blockade.
Protesting this incident, upazila unit BNP called daylong hartal in the area for Monday.
Locals said that the BNP leaders and activists brought out a possession near to Bhaluka Model Thana.
Police obstructed them and opened fire to disperse them that triggered a fierce clash, leaving 20 people, including six by bullets, injured.
Police, however, nabbed two picketers from the spot.
Confirming the matter to banglanews, Bhaluka Thana Officer-in-Charge Abdul Motaleb said that the situation is now under control.
