DHAKA: Blockaders and hartal supporters torched a police van at Sobhanbagh and a passenger bus at Dhanmondi in the capital around 6:30pm Monday.

They also blasted four cocktails and vandalized several vehicles in the areas.

Witnesses said that blockaders and hartal supporters blasted four cocktails in front of State University at Dhanmondi and later torched a passenger bus of Moitree Paribahan.

Picketers also torched a police van and vandalized several vehicles at Sobhanbagh during a chase and counter chase with police.

Mohammadpur Thana officer-in-charge Azizul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Besides, hartal supporters blasted six cocktails at Paltan intersection around 7:00pm.
