6 burnt by petrol bomb in C’danga

CHUADANGA: Six people were burnt as miscreants hurled petrol bombs towards a tea stall in Hapania village under Alamdanga Upazila of the district on Monday night.

All the burnt-wound were admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.

Witnesses said miscreants threw a petrol bomb aiming the 10-12 villagers while they were gossiping at a tea stall of local Jamaat leader Beltu Mandal, leaving six of them burnt.

Another source said that those six persons went to set fire to the shop of the Jamaat leader and inflicted burn injury.

Officer-in-Charge of Alamadana Thana Rafiqul Islam said that miscreants set fire to the shop and valuables were gutted but none was injured in this connection.

On the other hand, burnt persons claimed themselves as local Awami league activists.
